A hydrogeological survey finds the aquifer first; the borehole is then drilled, cased, screened and fitted with a pump sized to the tested yield. Typical depth in Kenya: 100–250 m.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a borehole cost?

It depends on depth, geology, casing, pump type and distance to site. Quotations on the platform are itemised so you can see exactly where costs differ between contractors.

Can a contractor guarantee water?

No. Groundwater varies. A hydrogeological or geophysical survey reduces the risk of a dry well, and every quotation must state what happens if drilling is unsuccessful.

How do milestone payments work?

You fund each milestone as set out in the contract. Funds are held until you approve the evidence for that milestone. Payments in this release are simulated; production will use a licensed provider.

What if I’m not satisfied with the work?

Request a clarification or open a dispute with evidence from your project workspace. Our team reviews both sides and records every decision.

Who sees my location and documents?

Only you and our verification team. Contractors see your general area when quoting, and your exact location after you sign a contract.

How long does it take?

Quotations usually arrive within 2–5 days. Once agreed, most domestic and farm boreholes are completed within 2–4 weeks, depending on the rig schedule and testing.
